hey guys!!
been another couple days, and i'm back. after writing about high and low, i enjoyed the time that followed, because i was braced, y'know, to be forewarned is to be forearmed.
well then, today's brief is a bit different. it's about being unique and being yourself. about doing your very best where you are, and enjoying yourself. you know, many times we compare ourselves with other people and imagine that we were unfairly treated. no,it's what you make with what you have that makes all the difference.
my husband tells about how God as the Great Painter presents each of us with His drawing. then He gives us different tools with which to make a copy of His drawing. some He gives colors, crayons, paint, tools for mosaic, collage....you name it. to make a copy of the sam Paintin of His. but our tendency is to look at another and wish we had what they have. well then, you know, grass is not greener on the other side, it's greener where it's watered. so, let's water our individual grasses.
something else. what each of us has been gifted with is needed for a certain something. just like our differet body parts serve different functions, they all are important. and so am i. i am precious, unique and necessary, therefore important. and so are you. i like to look at myself and think about my many plusses, and how unique i am. then i charge to live out my potential, comparing myself only with my ideal self and goals. that becomes a much easier, more interesting and personally inspiring life. i want to be the best i can be, and you know what? i'm gonna be it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cuz i'll keep doing this :-)
so, hey y'all out there, be blessed, and have a ball!!
oh, p/s yes, i'm married.... and the changes and adjustments are real.....but that's for another day. enjoy!!!

cycles...high, low....
hi y'all. been thinking a lot about this topic. we have cycles in our lives that come along. sometimes they hurt, really bad. i have observed that it hurts the most after a great victory. after having such a wonderful time is when my worst week follows. a good way-out strategy that i have found is to evaluate my life and encourage myself when i'm excited and on a high. that way i have good back-up and storage for when the sunset comes. i have something tangible to lean on after the air i was floating on has evaporated and gone away.
i sure hope that this is a blessing to y'all.
keep the faith,
Anngladys.

encouraging faith
this thing called faith. faith faith faith. my bishop preached today and said that it meant Forsaking All I Trust Him. i wonder if i'm the only one who has faith issues, but i think that there are many other people too.
trusting God, then He brings things to pass, sometimes way beyond our dreams and thoughts. other times it seems like He's taking forever, and we tend to get weak and even almost give up.
From the preaching today, and putting that together with my thoughts, i reckon we need to keep encouraging ourselves in the Lord DAILY, giving strength to our souls using God's word. we have known Him to be true and to keep His word in many a tough situations, surely He is still trustworthy and His character ever so dependable.
Ps 138:2 says that He does place His word above Himself.Surely He is faithful to keep it to the end ( see II Tim 1:12)
Have a faith-filled week, now won't you?!
